Restaurant Tips
A lot of people are intimidated by the wine list. Some just leave it up to the server for a “dry red?” Now that you know a thing or two about what tastes dry, acidic and sweet you can go ahead and choose something off the list. You are also equipped with food pairings, so you’re all set. If you’re purchasing a bottle of wine with your dinner, the waiter will bring the bottle over to you and show you the label. Then he/she will pour a bit in the glass for you to taste. If you it is not up to standards or liking, you CAN send the bottle back, and try for something else. For white wine, you should ask for an ice bucket to keep the wine nice and chilled throughout your dinner |
