Jezzine is a famous town in Lebanon`s southern moutainous region. Tourists are greeted at the entrance by two of the town`s signature landmarks: a 40 meter long waterfall, and a statue of the Virgin Mary with a sign that translates,

“The bride of the waterfall welcomes you!”

This town is loaded with historical monuments:
-The Saint Antoine Convent, belonging to the Antoine order (1774)
-The Serail (1898)
-The Farid Serhal Palace, a monumental building in the oriental style where an impressive collection of valuable antiquities is found.

Jezzine is the center of the Caza, where several public administrations, banks, hotels, restaurants and amusement centers are found. The town is paramount to Lebanon’s economical state due to its reknown production of baked goods, traditional cutlery and daggers, and fish farming installations.
